Additional Driver
All additional drivers must meet all rental requirements. Additional drivers can be added to the contract at any rental location within the same country and at any time during the rental. An additional driver fee of 8.00 EUR per day applies. The maximum fee is 56.00 EUR.
After Hours Service
After-hours Pick-Up: Pick-up of the rental car from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport outside the opening hours of the rental branch must be confirmed for all vehicle groups 12 hours before the start of the car rental. A flight number and contact details (phone and email) must be provided. A pick-up after opening hours is available for a surcharge of 75.00 EUR (incl. VAT). If you are arriving by airplane and have provided flight details (including airline and flight number) and your flight is delayed whereby the new arrival time is outside of the location’s opening hours, the above-mentioned surcharges applies.
After-hours Returns: Please follow the signs labeled “Car Rental Return” when coming back into the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Upon entry into parking garage, park in or as near as possible to the Enterprise/Alamo/National branded spots. Park and lock the car. Please return the completed contract and the keys to the drop-off machine in parking garage P3B (2nd floor) with PIN 789123. Remember to take your personal belongings with you, but leave all additional equipment (i.e. rented GPS, child seats etc.) in the car.
Age Requirements
In Finland, the following rules apply for the minimum age and possession of a driver's license:
Minimum Driving Age: 19 Years for all groups with the exception of Premium Wagon PWAR which is 25 years.
A young drivers surcharge of 20.00 EUR per rental (incl. VAT) applies to renters aged 19 to 24.
Cross Border Policy
Vehicles can be driven in Sweden and Norway only. A cross-border fee of 60.00 EUR per rental applies. In all cases, customers must inform the rental branch of their intention to leave the country with the vehicle and require authorization. Unauthorized cross-border travel will result in a breach of contract and incur a penalty charge.
Delivery and Collection
Service available on request during branch opening hours only. It is available for an additional charge of EUR 155.00 (incl. VAT) applies per delivery and per collection in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Please contact the rental branch directly to arrange delivery and collection service.

One Way Drop Policy
One way rentals within Finland are possible (please see price list). International one way rentals are not permitted.
Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection
Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection (CDWTP) reduces the liability of the renter in the event of damage to the bodywork, theft, or attempted theft of the rental vehicle. If CDWTP is not included in the reservation, the renter has liability up to the full market value of the vehicle. If not included in the reservation, CDWTP is an optional coverage available for purchase. CDWTP does not cover damage to the tires or windshield of the vehicle. You must adhere to all rental terms and conditions to receive the benefits of CDWTP.
If included in the reservation, the excess amount ranges between 2000 EUR and 4000 EUR depending on car class. Excess will be charged every time a vehicle is damaged.
Before purchasing CDW, it is advised to determine if a personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage or impound fees. If CDW is declined, the renter will be required to pay these charges and seek compensation through their carrier of personal coverage. CDW is not insurance.
Excess Protection plus Tire and Windshield Protection
Excess Protection plus Tire and Windshield Protection (EPTWP) is an optional coverage available for selection by the renter. EPTWP is only available to purchase if Collison Damage Waiver and Theft Protection (CDWTP) is selected or included in the reservation. The purchase of EPTWP reduces the customer’s liability to 500 EUR in cases of damage to the bodywork, theft or attempted theft of the rental vehicle. EPTWP also reduces the customer's liability for damage to the windshield or tires of the vehicle to 0 EUR. You must adhere to all rental terms and conditions to receive the benefits of EPTWP.
Before purchasing EPTWP it is advised to determine, if a personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage or impound fees. If EPTWP is declined, the renter will be required to pay these charges up to the Damage Waiver excess amount and seek compensation through their carrier of personal coverage. EPTWP is not insurance.
Exclusive Policy
Total rate price includes time and mileage, airport fee, value added tax and winter fee - November 1 through 31 March.
Excess Protection
Excess Protection (EP) is an optional coverage available for selection by the renter. EP is only available to purchase if Collison Damage Waiver and Theft Protection (CDWTP) is selected or included in the reservation. The purchase of EP reduces the customer’s liability to between 1000-2000 EUR depending on the vehicle class, in cases of damage to the bodywork, theft or attempted theft of the rental vehicle. EP does not cover damage to the tires or windshield of the vehicle. You must adhere to all rental terms and conditions to receive the benefits of EP.
Before purchasing EP it is advised to determine, if a personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage or impound fees. Refueling Service
Refueling Service: All vehicles are rented with a full tank and the vehicle must be returned with the same level of fuel as at the start of the rental period. If the vehicle is not returned refilled, we will charge a service fee of 35.00 EUR (incl. VAT) and gas/diesel will be charged at a fixed rate. The fixed price changes according to the market price.
Fuel Purchase Option: For your convenience, you may purchase a tank of fuel at the time of rental at a price that is competitive with local fuel stations. Please note that the price is depending on the vehicles tank size. This method eliminates the need for you to refill the tank before returning. Please be aware that we are unable to give a refund for unused fuel. Please check availability before the rental period at the rental branch or at the latest at the counter when you pick-up the rental car.
Forms of Payment
All major credit cards, issued by either VISA, MasterCard or American Express are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter's name. Prepaid cards, debit cards, cash and checks are not accepted. A security deposit plus the estimated cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental. The deposit is 300 EUR for all vehicle classes. Failure to provide a credit card in the renter’s name with sufficient available funds and a valid PIN number will lead to a refusal of rental.
Roadside Protection
RAP Roadside Assistance Protection ensures continuation of journey, and protects against high service costs in case of following incidents for example: towing services due to punctured tire or accident, loss of car key, running out of fuel, stuck vehicle and flat battery starting necessities. RAP is available for a daily fee of 5.00 EUR (including VAT). If RAP is not accepted, customer is held liable for the full value of all roadside service costs.
All services may only be ordered by a direct claim with 24-hour Roadside Assistance (tel. +358 20 787 000). Roadside Assistance service is operated by our third party provider Autoliitto. They shall also determine the type and extent of service required to ensure the renter stays mobile. In the case any damage to the rental vehicle occurs which is not covered by the rental company within the scope of the Roadside Asssitance Protection coverage, the renter is liable for such damage.
Renter Requirements
The renter and the driver must be in possession of a valid driving license.
Driving license printed with non-Roman Alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic etc.) must be complemented by an International driving license. For driving licenses from countries not part of the Geneva/ Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (e.g. China), the information in the foreign driving license must be written in a Latin alphabet, or accompanied by a translation into Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, English, German or French by a reliable source.
Besides the driver's license, renters from countries other than Finland will need to present a valid passport at the rental counter as proof of identity.
Arrival Directions
Enterprise/National/Alamo rental counter is located in Terminal 2 near the front doors of the arrival hall. After arrival, follow the car rental signs. No shuttle is required.
Supplemental Liability Protection
Protection coverage for the vehicle rented includes Third Party Liability with unlimited cover for personal injuries. Maximum cover for property damages is 5 million EUR.
Tire and Windshield Protection
TWP Tires and Windshield protection is an optional coverage which reduces the renters financial responsibility in the event of damage to the tires or windshield of the vehicle subject to the terms and conditions of your rental contract and applicable laws. It is available for an additional fee of 5 EUR per day (incl. VAT) and reduces the excess for damage the undercarriage, tires or windshield of the vehicle from 2000 EUR to 0 EUR.
Zero Excess
Zero Excess (ZE) is an optional coverage available for selection by the renter. ZE is only available to purchase if Collison Damage Waiver and Theft Protection (CDWTP) is selected or included in the reservation. The purchase of ZE reduces the customer’s liability to 0 EUR in cases of damage to the bodywork, tires or windshield, theft or attempted theft of the rental vehicle. You must adhere to all rental terms and conditions to receive the benefits of ZE.
